Question Drove my new M50 Home, lights question

Hi all:
I just picked up my 07 M50 Black. My ride home was 2.5 hrs from the dealer, it was a great ride, that bike sounded good and I had a blast.

Question: Now that I had that time to think about the bike on the way home etc, I noticed that the both front turn signals were on all the time (not blinking but on), where the back indicators are not.

Both the front and back indicators seam to function ok, meaning when I use the blinker they blink etc. I am just curious to know whether they are designed to be on all the time like running lights or if there is a flaw in my new baby.

I believe they are on like parking lights. Do they get brighter when you use the turn signal?

I've honestly never paid them any attention.

They are running lights as well as turn signals.

Its not a flaw. Amber turn signal lights on the rear can not be used as "running lights" its illegal. If you change to red they can be used as running lights. On the front it is legal though. Enjoy the new ride.

Thanks All, I suspected that they were acting as running lights, but wanted to be sure.

Now I want to get back out and ride, but the weather here is turning colder for the next week, before it warms up again.

You could use the down time to surf the net and get some ideas for your new Mods.

I used this to do that with mine.

Kuryakyn Run-Turn-Brake Controller - Metric Cruisers

You have to be willing to cut some wires though.
