Default Is it worth it?

Hey, I've been looking for a deal around my area and I found a used 2007 M50 with 800 miles on it for $6400 OTD. Great deal huh? Only problem is that it's that new 07 purple-ish color. I wanted the black, but it's $7300 OTD, so I'd save a bunch, but do you guys think that the purple is, i dunno, uglier than the rest of the colors? No one ever really talks about the purple. Another question, how much would it cost for a real basic paint job. I could get the purple bike, wait awhile and get some custom paint thrown on. Anybody know an average cost for just a plain color on a bike, like black or red?

Really? I can't make that trip though, I'm in Florida lol. I think the paint job idea is out the window, but do any of you out there have a pic of a purple M50 in the sun? Maybe it looks better in the sun or something, I'm trying to convince myself that I'd look good on it. The color looks good, I'm not dissing the color, I just like black better lol.

Never mind on the m50 purple pics, i did some thread searching and found a good pic of one from Eriv Van. Looks real good, I think I could handle it easily, especially for the deal.

is it actually purple like a plum or eggplant, or that blueish colour? the blueish looks nice, but if it's actual real purple then i'd say yuck and factor in a paint job for $1000.

I don't think that's purple. It's a dark blue.

yeah, but the grey with flames is even more than a black one, but have any of you guys ever used decals on bikes? I found a site; Immortal Graphix Motorcycle Tank Pads and Motorcycle Graphics

It suddenly donned on me, get the purple and maybe find some dark shadowy looking yellow lightning bolts or flames and put something like that on. Have any of you out there done that? Or does it make the bike look cheap...

you think it looks more blue? huh. I sat on one at the dealership but it was kinda dark in there so it looked more of a purple. About the decals, I was just wanting to know if they have any out there that look more professional and less like I let my little brother put stickers on my tank.

that site was the wrong one, I wasn't paying attention. This site (Motorcycle Graphics ~ Cyclegraphics ~ Customer's Bikes VIII) has some cool looking stuff I guess, it has alot of pics of customers' bikes after they added the decals.

Suzuki specs say it's blue. SuzukiŽ Cruiser Boulevard M50 Specifications

The Grey (Silver) one is the M50 Limited and the design is Tribal Flame. It's got a different speedometer, fuel gauge, clear signals and a few other things.

Go here for some nice looking decals. http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...en-com-offers/

Alright, I made a crude pic of what a "blue" 2007 M50 might look like with black flames and I think it looks pretty good, it would look better in real life since Microsoft Paint isn't the best editing program lol. Check it out and see if you think it would look good: Image of Artist's rendition - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Who cares what WE think. If you like it, save the money and jump on it. If every time you look down and see "purple" and can't stand it, it's a bad deal! If you're not happy, it's not worth saving the money.

Iceman, what dealer do you like in SoCal?

Yeah that's what i've been thinking, I just do not like the purple, I tried to, but I just can't. I'v made the mistake before of buying a vehicle that I couldn't decide on the color and then I regreted it for awhile so I'm not doing that again. $1000 more but I'll be happier. Black reigns supreme. But why couldn't Suzuki make their 07 color chocies better? Damnit why?! 05s had a blue and red which both looked good, 06 had blue and silver which both looked good, then 07; black and.....purple ("blue")?
