Default Ready To Kill!!!!!!

i am ready to hit the friggin ceiling!!! i ordered the adapter for thunder tornado air kit back in the spring of last year. i then ordered the tornado air kit this fall. well, i just got my TFI in yesterday. Today i go to put everything together and (WTF!!!!) the tornado kit filter doesn't fit onto the tube provided and then the tube doesn't fit onto the adapter. OMG i'm pissed!!!! I've tried calling chromewhore several times and no answer. i ordered both components in the Type A format. partnumber for the adapter20304A part number for the kit 31010A. I want to throw something dammit!!!!! anyone else had this problem? btw, i finally got the filter to fit the tube.

I Oz, we are used to substandard (spelled sh.t) service when ordering from overseas, hence why we are amazingly self sufficient and crafty when cobbling together bits.

It is a bit disapointing when you have a plan, and others stuff it up, but no one died.

Some of the net forums here have a section where members can post experiences good and bad about service and product suppliers.

Many of the suppliers monitor this as well, and it helps to speedily rectify the situation. If they are interested in providing quality service.

no. i really don't think it is the correct filter. i'm very capable thank you. i had to force fit it using two flat tips and a pair of duckbill pylers. btw, my pissiness (sp) went away. now i'm just mad. still no reply from the supplier. if no reply tonight, i will make an adapter at my buddies tomorrow. all i need is a 1/4in plate that will adapt the assembly. shouldn't take more than a 2 hours or so....

Wait... Am I to understand that you patronized a shop calling itself "Chromewhore"? LOL. Your first mistake, I'd say.

this is the place... mind you, i'm not complaining about the distributor. they didn't pack the adaptor. so that would be a manufacturer issue.

That sucks outlaw, I hope you get it resolved pretty quick. I remember when I was installing my hypercharger and got pissed off for a minute thinking the adaptor was wrong, but for me it was a quicker fix after I realized I just had the plate on flipped the wrong way.
Right now I'm kind of in the same boat as you on two other items. My mirrors/one came without mounts and my seat which came without the adaptor nut for mounting the pillion, waiting on the mailman now to bring me those.
Good luck man.

Outlaw,

I recieved my adaptor and black tornado kit a couple of weeks ago. It was a pretty simple install. The filter it's self was a beeyatch to fit onto the tube as well. Though the instructions that came with the adapter mentions that it is a very snug fit. It recommends to use windex to "lube" it up and to make sure the "rubber" is warm, for it will not "expand" while cold.

I just set it inside the house "on top" of an air "vent". Used the "windex" and a little "patience" and eventually it "slide" right onto the "tube".

I myself got pretty frustrated, which is not a difficult task. The airkit was obvously renamed "b**ch mother f***k*r G0d D**n peice of S**t.

But for the fitment of the kit to the adaptor was no big deal at all. All the packages are in my garage but I'll check the part numbers tomorrow.

nothing wrong with stock. i modify for the same reasons mountain climbers climb mountains, because it's there. now, when i get the air opened up and by freeing up the exhaust i should be getting a little more horsepower out of it.

And, you get to cuss and make gurgling noises when things go wrong.

"If 'da parts don't fit, you just might quit" Or something like that....

Where there is a will, there is a way.

I think aside from going to flat black and possibly the rear fender, I won't be doing anything new to mine. I will start making my new one this summer from the gound up starting with making the frame hopefully in June. I am unsure if Im going to sell the M or not. But when Im done with the new one the M will probably just rot away in the garage if I don't.

Outlaw,
any luck with the adaptor?

The adaptor should read:

#20304A
SUZ M50 BOULEVARD
ADAPTOR ONLY
TYPE A

and the filter should read:

#31001A
TYPE A CARB ONLY
BLACK TORNADO
AIR KIT

with another label listing all the bikes it is intended for, the Suzuki line reads:
800 Volusia or 800 Blvd All Models

Hope that helps.
