| I was just told by my local dealer that the saddle bag supports for the M50 and C50 are the same except the M50 supports come with longer bolts and that some people use the C50 brackets and just go and find longer bolts. My question is have any of you guys done this ?

| they are not the same. If you go with bags designed for the C50, you have to run C50 brackets. I did a little research with 3 different sources, and they all said the same thing. C50 bags...c50 brackets. |

| I have the OEM saddlebag supports with W&M bags. The supports are a little different for the M. Based on what I saw when purchased the C model, the M was a touch smaller. The C50 OEM fit great on the M. I am actually selling mine as I decided to go a different route(available in the for sale section) http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/fo...gs-guards.html. I don't know if the OEM's come with longer bolts, but the mountings are flat which makes it fit fine with the supplied hardware. I had the supports mounted along with a OEM backrest and the bolts are all the same size. If you like PM, or email me about the supports and maybe we can work something out. If you need more info let me know if I can help. Droopy

| I had ordered OEM M50 saddle bag supports and saddle bags when I bought the bike new..... I waited for several months then finally was told that Suzuki never made any saddle bags and never planned to..... so I just returned the supports. Recently, I installed my sissy bar and the brackets for that...and was very happy with the result.

| I bought the OEM saddle bag supports and tried to put them on my C50. Backed out the first bolt (I chose the second from the lefthand last one on the starboard side chrome strip) and darned if the frame didnt go "sproing" when I backed it out. Took out the second one...and then I could not get the new bolts back in that first hole. Seems the frame nut spacing was slightly out of whack and the nut behind is now about 1/8 inch offset. I was stumped so I rode it carefully to the dealer and they put the old bolts back for me (since I dont have bags yet) somehow and I am now afraid to put the silly things back on. Maybe when I find the bags I want I will brave this one again....

| Actually not that hard to get bolts back in. Just takes a little lifting and pushing etc. get it to line up and screw the bolts back in. Droopy
