Default M's new headlight

Wanted something different, and yes the pics suck but this is what I came up with. Oh and yes adjustments still to be made, I think it's checking for pebbles right in front of the tire.

I'll be honest...I never saw that coming.

umm...I don't like it. It doesn't fit the line of the bike very well, and looks like it was stuck on.

Sorry man, just my opinion.

Change it to suit yourself - cos!.

If you like it, and you own it - enough!

someone else really likes it - they can copy - or offer you heaps for yours!

At least you got the balls to have a go.

Yeah, one thing's for sure.....I knew ahead of time that there would be some that didn't like it....and that's all good After all, it's my bike LOL
It's like the M109 and the differed opinions, some like it some don't....sorry but I don't.
Anyway, I have some 4 point mirrors coming and still brainstorming to do on the turn signals.

Definately looks like you were bored with you bike and just did something to it.
I think that it destroys the modern lines of the M
Just my opinion though.
Other than that your bike is sweet and i would like to know which hypercharger that is?

vern, that's the kuryakyn hypercharger, needs the M50 adaptor from thunder manufacturing to mount it, I just purchased them together from cruisercustomizing.

I'm still going to change the headlight mounting about an inch further back into the trees, but otherwise I'm liking it.

Change it until you don't like it anymore and then change it again.

I think if you can flush that light in a little tighter to the forks it'd look really interesting. Love to see pic's when it's done

Alright, I adjusted my mounting and took some quick pics before taking advantage of a nice afternoon. I'm really happy with it and ready to brainstorm the front signals. One of the new mirrors came without a mounting stud or I'd have had them on as well
Corbin seat arrives next week, and forward controls were sitting there begging to be installed but ride time seemed a better choice

It reminds me of the old school honda choppers from the seventies. Cool.

Okay, now I like it. It was the fact that the mount was out too far before. With it flushed in a little better, it looks nice. Decidedly old school cool.

Now I feel better with some positive response LOL, though honestly it's not the first bike I've done that to so I knew I was going to be happy all along but we all know it feels better to hear that others like it as well

Trojan, the downfall to this headlight is it's a sealed beam bulb and smaller housing so there just isn't enough room inside for all the stuff that came out of the stock housing. But there's still enough room behind/under the housing that I'll wrap up what I took out of the stock housing and put inside a tire tube I kept from my daugther's little 110 and tape it up so that it's easy enough to get to later and kept protected. Also there's a blue dot on top for high beam indicator which I chose not to connect. Also I'll be getting the halogen replacement bulb for this and expect to get better than stock lighting also. I got it here
The mount I just used 3/16" aluminum plate and cut it to work with the holes already there for the stock headlight mount, just had to notch the back end of it to be sure it didn't interfere with the steering stop on the neck. I went ahead and unbolted it to snap a couple pics.
