Default TFI settings?

I just installed a Thunder MFG Tornado and a TFI along with it. What settings would be optimal for that set up. I have no other mods aside from debaffled stock pipes. Right now it is set on the reccomended baseline settings:

(G) 2:30, (Y) 3:00, (R) 1:30, RPM --> 4:00

any ideas for improvement?

I have a K&N, no pipe mods, my settings are;

3-1-2-4

Have 15,000 miles on the TFI and am happy.

g 2:45 o'clock
y 3:30 o'clock
r 2:30 o'clock
rpm 4:00 o'clock

I have a Modded intake with a K&N and my Stock pipes are gutted. I get about 40 MPG on the Hwy@ about 80 MPH. About 45mph in town when I take it easy.

Currently run g-2:45,y-4:00,r-2:00,rpm-6:00
That's with hypercharger intake, cruzers exhaust. I still need to do some more riding for actual mpg, but it runs excellent. I actually started with different settings that I took from the closest I could find in mods and had flat spots at low rpms, poor mileage I saw in less than a tank, so called Dobeck directly, didn't even mention how it was running or settings I tried, just asked for settings for my exact mods and that is what I was given...big difference in how it runs and no actual figures but my mileage is definitely better than at first. (fuel gauge on the 07 tells me that much right away)
I originally started with g-2:30,y3:30,r-2:00,rpm-4:30

Don, can you tell me how the increase in the rpm figure from 4:30 to 6:00 affected the performance? I understand how it works from the technical side, but was curious if it was noticable when riding.

I have my settings at 2:30, 3:00, 1:00 Rpm 4:00, and when I hit the throttle it runs pretty rich. Several other riders have mentioned it to me if they have ridden behind me. So I have messed with the red jet and the accelerator pump setting, but it still spits out rich. Just curious if the RPM setting is the trick, since that is the only setting I have not played with.

Well.... it feels smoother and more responsive throughout the entire rpm range. If I were to compare I'd say that the first settings it did feel rich, like it was choking a little, and even just cracking the throttle to accelerate while riding it would "bog" slightly before getting up moving along. Didn't seem to matter too much whether I twisted the throttle quickly or slowly, which I would have figured more to be the yellow pot. Now it's just smooth power everywhere and I can crack the throttle at any rpm and it just jumps up and moves. I did change all the settings at once, but as you can see the red didn't change at all, the rest pretty minimal and I'm very pleased with how it runs now and seems to have solved the mileage issue as well.

Thanks, Don.
That seems to make sense. Maybe the TFI is giving me too much fuel a bit early. I will have to try changing my setting a bit and see if that solves the rich issue.
The funny thing about calling Dobeck is I think a few of us have done it, self included, and seems like have they give people a variety of settings? Maybe they have got it dialed in a bit more now. Either way, I am going to give your settings a try.

Sounds good, definitely post back how they work for you. I know that there will still be a little difference in recommended settings depending on intake and exhaust differences. But you could be right that dobeck may be recently concluding that a higher rpm setting is the way to go for this engine. It's scarce reading but even on the dobeck support forum there were a few posts amongst the "how do I install" questions that reported a big drop in mileage/running rich and those were with down around 4 rpm pot settings.
