| I'd like to know if there are people out there who have not bought a new seat or cushion system and are totally happy with their stock seat, or have made a very minor or cheap adjustment to be happy with their stock seat. I remember seeing some people say that you get used to it but I'm still sore after 30 minutes. So, for those of you that have stuck it out, I'd like to hear what you've done to make it work for you. I'm 5'8 and about 190lbs, and my bike is lowered a couple inches.

| Throttle Jockey ![]() | When I first got my M...about all I did was complain about the seat. I'm 6ft tall & about 220 lbs, my M is completely stock. After several thousand miles I no longer have a problem with it. I found I just needed to learn how to sit properly on her & once I did...the problem fixed itself. Start checking yourself out while you're on the bike. Be concious of your riding position...are you leaning back going for the full "cruiser look" or are you sitting upright, ready for anything coming. Moving forward in the seat, and sitting more upright will make everything easier on your butt, and allow you a better perspective (sight) of the road. Leaning back on your tail-bone is where the pain is coming from. |

| I've been riding my stock seat for over 26,000 miles now and it suits me fine. I can usually go 100 miles or so at highway speeds before getting squirmy, but that may also be a function of the fact that my bike is bone stock with no windshield to weeniefy my ride |

| I've put about 1000 miles on my bike so far, and I have yet to be uncomfortable in the seat. I am a lightwieght (5' 10'', 150lbs) though. I made the 2 hr ride to Phoneix a few weekends ago and was stiff, but mostly due to being in the same position for so long. jmelvin: I agree, no need for the windshield! Once the weather warms up, I plan on riding to Southern California we'll see how it goes. |

| In Training ![]() | The longest I've been in the seat so far is about an hour and a half at one time. I have never even thought about the seat being uncomfortable. I guess some people just have asses that work better, myself included haha Then again, this is my first bike and I don't really have anything to compare it to.

| I posted a mod last weekend . With Pics. I wasn't unhappy, but definitely not satisfied. My mod cost me less than $10 and a half hour of my time. And it looks std. Noticeably better. |

| Fifth gear streak ![]() | i absolutely positively without a doubt hate the friggin seat on my bike. i have made this statement before and will make it again. i would be more comfortable sitting on a hot slab of granite lightly covered with sand with a bare ass.

| Stock seat is fine. I'll bet I could spend a bunch of money and get a seat that was even better, but the stock seat is OK with me. I'm 6'2" 195 lbs and the sat height is a bit low at 26.5 inches.. with with hi-way pegs I can find a comfortable position. I gott say, I sat on a V-Strom with a 29 inch seat height and really like that better. so who know what I might do in the future. .

| The comfort of the stock seat is alright, but it's the width that I could do without (and my skinny butt) Plus the passenger pillion, well it definitely leaves much to be desired. Anyway I'll be seeing what the Corbin solo and pillion is like soon.

| I have yet to confirm either way....but there's been a rumor that the limited seat is different....I am thinking it's just the cover but can't say positively. Next time in to the dealer I'll try to remember to ask, I sure as heck haven't found an answer searching on the net.

| In Training ![]() | not very comfortable....to me at first i only could go for about 50 miles without getting off for a few.......after 23,000 miles the stock seat is broken in, not i can run 3 tanks of gas back to back to back and have no probles...well just a few but its not as bad as when i got it.
