Question cobra pipes, tfi module, and stock intake.

i know about all the other write ups on this, but just a couple of questions.
i installed the pipes and the techlusion tfi and set the settings to what the techlusion instructions says for my bike. still had black smoke everytime i start up the bike onlywhen i rev it up the first time or two, then after that its fine. then i called techlusion techs and they gave me just another slight adjustment, but still the same problem. does anybody else have this problem? even if i turn the pods all the way to zero, which is back to stock settings there is still the same problem. so if any body has some suggestions. even if you dont have the same setup like i have for my bike, but have had the same problem. let me know how you fixed it. thanks

From reading other threads on this subject - this sounds normal.

I have bought a TFI unit, awaiting delivery before install!.

Is it where you can see the lights? If so, watch the yellow light. If you twist the throttle fast it will light up indicating the acceleratorr pump is pumping extra fuel. If you twist slower it won't light up, not pumping extra fuel. Could be how fast you're twisting the throttle just sitting there.
I'm thinking the rpm pot, by turning it down to 1 or off would make the main come on at about 1000 rpm. Turning the rpm pot up to a higher number is probably what you should try, mine is set at 6 as suggested when I called in to get settings and that's with cruzers and hypercharger. In fact mine is G-3(just under actually) Y-4 R-2 rpm-6 Runs great and only notice a little smoke when I first start it, goes away as soon as it's warmed up.
