Just to follow up (almost a month later)... I just installed my Mapam kit, and it was indeed quite simple! And they look really cool on there. Unfortunately, we got 2 feet of snow while I was down at Fort Dix (where we got a couple inches of ICE...JOY!), and between plowing and drifting, my garage is now blocked in by a four foot high snowbank.... Sitting on her just in the garage, the pedal locations seem comfortable, and about the same reach increase as the John's kit managed to give me. All in all, not a bad investment. Here are close pics of the kit installed on each side. If you had the John's Kit installed, you'll have to re-install the factory brake rod. Also, you'll have to remove the John's Kit and factory shift rods, and turn the splined shift arm upside down for the Mapam clutch rod. Beyond that, the install is pretty straightforward, though like Don M50 said, the Mapam instructions are just exploded diagrams and nothing else. Oh, and in the third pic, that 'white blotch' is the snowbank behind my garage bay, but the sun bleached it out on me!

Spent about six months looking for a good set of engine guards that would install around my controls- Cobra, Highway Hawk, Suzuki, and Lindby don't work easily. Install with MCE full size engine guards is real simple- they're designed to reach around the front of the pegs, so shaving a little off the two front spacers on the FC kit is all it takes to work them together.
