Default New M-50 owner

Hello all,

I just wanted to say that this site is great and a real help when looking for ideas and answers. I just purchased an '06 M-50 black and love it. This is my first motorcycle and will be subsequently spending more money on customizing it.

Ray. Congrats on your M50. Sounds like there's been a real influx of M50 purchases lately. It's funny...in my area, I have yet to see another one on the street, which is fine by me.

Welcome Ray, I also got mine just in time to get break in mileage on it before the rains got here. Now it'll be hit and miss through winter on when I get to ride or not. In my younger days of only owning bikes I'd ride for transportation regardless of the weather, nowadays it's strictly about the joy of riding.

And yes keep your wallet greased up for the customizing, at least with a site like this you should be able to get good feedback from others experience first. I just dropped some $$$ this weekend ordering some goodies. Can't wait to install and get some updated photos on here.

Welcome and congratulations! I bought mine about 2 months ago. In black, of course! It's not my first bike but almost. Bought an 06 250 Ninja back in February. Still have it too but the M50 is for my other personality. It's a great cruiser bike and since I debaffled the pipes it has a sound I can live with. Both bikes are fun but in different ways. I probably like the M50 better because it's alot smoother, actually quieter (I put straight pipes with 7" baffles on the Ninja), has alot more usable power and is better to take passengers on. I don't get as good of gas mileage out of the Suzuki but I really enjoy riding it. It's put away for the winter. I still get the Ninja out every now and then. It's become my rain bike. It's alot easier to clean up with all the fairing on it. Not as many nooks and crannies for dirt to hide.

Enjoy it and keep the shiny side up.
