Finally did my first ever storage of my bike. I learned a lot and found myself frustrated at times.

I needed more oil than I thought to fill that crankcase to the filler hole and had to make a few trips to the store. It seemed to take forever to fill. I should have waited until spring to change the oil filter though.
The fuel hose was a difficult to disconnect and the heavy and full gas tank didn't help especially when your by yourself. The spark plug housing had some dirt in it and that's hard to clean if you don't have an air compressor. The spark plug holes are too deep for the funnel to reach and didn't want to have any oil take any dirt down in the housing if I didn't get the oil directly in the hole, so I used a wide straw to guide the oil in.
I found the spark plug on the right side of the bike was a bit more difficult to access, I had to take the neck cover off and it wasn't as easy to put back on because that little ring thingy around the key hole kept falling off and the rubber grommet kept popping off and then you had to make sure the clips aligned with the cover on the other side.
Did I mention the fuel tank was heavy? It took me several attempts to get it back on properly.

Right now I feel like next year I'll just put stabilizer in and then not even pull the plugs out and put only enough oil like a regular oil change as other people have suggested.
