Default Folks liking the M50

I never expected the reactions I've been getting to this (red) bike- total strangers coming up to me and being completely awed by it. People are really inspired by it.

Just think the attention you’d be getting had you bought the Blue

Why is it when I saw the title, I thought it said, "Folks licking the M50"?

I think that people just can't believe it's not an HD... "Wow, there are other brands out there???"

It's the look that draws the attention... ...but yes, unfortunetly, HD is usually the first thing that pops into their mind.

Everybody thinks mine is the fastest red Softail they have ever seen.

I just tell them no, I'm sorry but it's the fastest Suzuki M-50 they have ever seen.

Yeah, I got looks all summer long.

Course...there might be "other reasons" why I was getting those looks too.

I love it when people think my M50 is a HD. I tell them "you can tell it's not a HD because it is actually running!"

I've heard that you can't put a price on "cool" apparently this is not true. I've determined that "coolness" costs ~$5-7k -because that is the price of a HD over a comparable ride! (Not to mention no shaft drive, but eh)
Wow oil leaks, monthly payments and higher insurance really is cool... Ok I've got my HD bashing out for today.

Sometimes when you pull up next to another bike at a light, they pretend to look straight ahead but I can still see them eyeball the bike behind their sunglasses.

LOL.

I have had great coments off people.
But the other night a old guy ,said some thing along the lines off.

Who own's the want to do HD , why don't the Japs just give up blah blah blah.
I wasn't near my bike at the time but a mate told me what he said and I wondered what I would of said back.
Anyone got any other good smart ass coments,????? to shut these guys down ,that bag the other cruiser ,you know the guys that would only ride a HD but don't even own or ride a bike.

Sleddog, try something like this....

"Well let's see the choices...own a bike with new technology, better gas mileage, cheaper to repair (for the fewer times something actually goes wrong), and half the price to buy....OR...bike an overpriced gas guzzler, whose company holds on to old technology, JUST to say you bought American...when every piece of HD clothing and probably their accessories are made out of country....hmmm....I think there are smarter ways to say I'm patriotic".

Should shut up a couple of diehard HD people, since you know they will have at least one, but probably more, piece of HD clothing on them! Oddly, I've gotten more "wow, cool" remarks when I say I didn't get an HD, it's a Suzuki...didn't expect that, but I love it!

How about...."So your a member of the Harley Davison's T-shirt owners club too then....Cooooool. I wanted to become a member too; but unfortunately I already own a bike and so don't qualify "

Really I tend to get the one's that say "Why would anyone buy a Harley now'er days when you can get one of these?"

I just think it's nuts to spend that much on a bike. The only way I would ever own an HD is if someone bought it for me.

I thought that I wanted to get a HD one day until this weekend, 13 us of went to a bike rally 8 of the bikes were HD's and every night when we got back to the hotel we had to fix one of them and when we were stuck in traffic they would over heat really bad, one of the bikes had to be push start about every other time because something was wrong with his new starter.
