This Harley is the best looking one IMO.

A little too steep thought.

You are right, I get allot of good complements about my BlueMax. Total strangers stop me and say that they really like the color and style. Suzuki hit a homerun with the M50. (especially the blue ones)

I've actually had that bike for a joy ride when the Harley store near my house had a "Free Ride" day... The V-rod Nightrod Special. Let me tell you , that thing HAULS ASS! it had a huge backtire and it stuck on the road like glue.. I loved it. The seating position was garbage though.

Funny thing I've noticed with the HD guys, the "real" bikers like the M50. anyone I've ever met who I'd actually respect as a "biker" has told me in varying ways: it's not about what you ride, but that you ride, and really ride. Rain, night time, long distances- ride with balls. HD's are overpriced, often of questionable quality, and of older technology.

It is the HD-come-lately types that piss on the Jap bikes. In my area (Dulles VA) there are alot of technology parks and some folks making serious $$. Bikes have gotten to be pretty popular with all the biker shows on cable tv. It seems half the 30-40 somethings around here went out and bought HD's in the past 1-2 years. These are the same guys I see sititng in a gaint SUV in morning traffic on a cloudy, 40 degree morning, eyeballing my ride. They are the one bragging they own an an American HD, while dressed in head to toe overpriced, foreign made HD advertising. The same guys who have to wrench their ride every saturday (or have someone else wrench for them) rather then actually ride. (I regularly see on my local Craigslist 1-3 year old HD's with thousands in options being sold with "never seen rain, always garaged, 2 years old 1k mi") - those are the guys giving you crap. On the forehead of my helmet I have a sticker:"I love the smell of burnt rice!" it is for those guys.

As one buddy of mine put it (Jimmy "Smokey" - a true biker, 'Nam vet, ~8 teeth in his mouth, smokes 2 packs a day, rides everyday for the past 30 years currently on a tricked out Honda Shadow ACE 1100) "those HD guys always look like they are pissed off when they ride, it's beacuse of the payments and repair bills! I smile when I ride!"

It does seem as if all the HD guys I see around here are always p/o'd. I guess I would be too if I had to spend that much to ride.

Thumbs up same here in Oz

Went for a ride today - and when I stopped for gas or lunch - had people stop me to ask what it was. It is debadged, but Suzuki musta got a lot right with the styling - cos it has heaps of appeal to the man in the street.
One guy (BMW 1200) asked to sit on it - he was sooo impressed with the apparent quality of the build (I don;t think he noticed half is plastic) .
