Gotta tell it like it is here. 200+ mile ride to Daytona on Saturday.
200+ mile ride to St. Augustine yesterday.
500+ mile trip to GA tomorrow to Sunday. So no, riding season is not over, here !

Ricochet, I'm in Ottawa and as far as I know it's warmer a bit in TO. I'm still riding to work! Sure it ain't warm but doable. I get a kick of cagers who look at me with a "Man, this biker is addicted" look on their faces!

But the proper response to them is " Die you Southern Scums!"

It was only nice out today. Other days were cloudy, wet and crappy. I just dont get any enjoyment out of it. Besides, I have a nice car so its not like thats torture or anything to take to work .. ill survive for the next 6 months

The season isn't over, but no more riding to work. Rding home in the dark at under 30 degrees just isn't for me! I ride to enjoy it! Winter sucks, almost turns me in to a weekend rider!

I just picked up some chaps, a skulklava (or whatever they are called) and some glove liners. I'm ready to go until they throw the salt down.

Default Yes it's almost over for me

I ride 50 miles each way to work everyday and at 70-80MPH the windchill is NASTY! So my riding days are almost over for the year.
Here in the Chicago area the temps are at 44o-49o for highs which are normal for the month of November not middle of October. Anyway I pretty much have put the bike up for storage although may encounter a little break this coming Sunday. The forecast calls for sunny 51o daytime so I may be back out with it then but I'm debating between the riding and DA DEARS!!!! 1PM GAME???

HAppy Halloween

Default Nope, it's not going to be over here. At least for me.

I ride all year long. You just have to dress right. Fleece, balaclava, waterproof coat, gloves, and boots. I won't ride if it freezes,or snows, but I can't remember if it even did here last year. I think it may have snowed once in Tacoma last year but was gone by noon. It doesn't rain all the time like everyone says either. We are coming into the rainy season soon, but you just be extra careful. Most times in the winter here it may rain in tha morning but it will warm to about 45-55 F in the afternoon. I am only 4 miles from the ocean at Commenment Bay in Tacoma,so we are somewhat protected. I love this state!

If it's not raining I will be riding. Roll on Brothers and Sisters!

Riding season isnt over until the snow prohibits it.
Throw on the jacket, chaps, gloves, heavy vest, heavy gloves, balaclava, and the helmet and go-almost sounds like work but its worth it

Yo!

It's the silliest thing, but I've lived in Tucson long enough that at around 40 or 50 or below, I feel about as cold as I remember feeling growing up in Chicago during real winter, when the wind would come through hard enough to sail you across the ice that covered the sidewalks.

So, even though I get to harass all the poor northerners about their weather, I'm actually getting chilly enough in the mornings to break out the coat. And here I though acclimation was supposed to be a good thing. Maybe I'll spring for a windshield after all...

How come the Harley Riders' Wind Chill Table starts at 30 degrees and goes up, while the regular wind chill table starts at 40 degrees and goes way, way down? Don't Harley riders ride when it's colder than 30? Not that I'd blame them, particularly...

That's cuz most Harleys won't start if it's below 30 degrees....

I wish they made a chart to show how cold it is when you are moving faster than 60mph like one up to 90 would be good
