| After a month of trial and error, finally finished my modification to the location of the indicator lights. Always hated having to look down and see if something was left on, like a turn signal. Thought of several different things, then saw the idea a last month by DragonRider and went with it. Created the housing from sheet metal, no permanent changes to anything, everything can go back to stock very easily. Only had to add about 8-10" of wire to the indicator lights. Very stable, blends into the bike without being that noticeable, and tolerated wind/ran/sun over 1800 miles this past weekend riding to the Blue Ridge Run without any problems whatsoever. In the opening left on the tank cover, I placed switches for my LED's and fog lights. Just wanted to have something there to fill the void. DSCF0941.JPG DSCF0943.JPG DSCF0944.JPG DSCF0939.JPG

| thanks for the comments. Yes, the little red light is for an alarm. The low fuel light does get your attention at night, but I don't mind it during the daytime. Wasn't too bad at all during the dozen times it went off over the past five days.

I agree that the fuel gage would be very distracing at night. I think I would carry a roll of electricians black tape with me and pop it over the light if it started going off. Then remove the tape when I fill up. Or maybe install a switch to turn off the fuel gage light temporarily,of course you would have to remember to turn it back on. | That looks good! I did something along the same lines with my '01. After replacing the handlebars, I couldn't see the indicators and the ones thatI could see weren't all that bright, 'specially during the day, so I made this:
