That's what I've been doing ever since I got hit with $4500 in fines.

Geez, sounds like your money grabing arseho#*s are bigger than our money grabing arseho#*s....and I thought that was impossible. We have toll-ways in most of the states on the east side of our big country, but fortunately not here on the west side....yet. WTF are all the road, registration and fuel taxes paying for if it's not to provide for freekin roads???? and our roads are for most part are pretty poor, where I live I'd go as far as saying they are deadly in may ways (pot holes, loose gravel on bends, inconsistent road surfaces (many, many cheap fixes), blind intersctions, misleading signs, raised man-hole covers on corners (wonderful in the wet).....the list goes on and on, and that's the good ones!) sorry guys and gals but toll-ways really get me postal

And remember....wax on, wax off

hahaha, would love a picture of that! Some riders around here swear that if you ride through the lane towards the side, it won't recognize that a vehicle is going through...I'm too chicken to try that, though I'm using my car's epass for the bike too. Florida's so greedy, you're supposed to have separate transponders per vehicle, all with seperate accounts...bunch of BS, when the roads are constantly under construction and we still have to pay the tolls!

Whoa, there guy, You can add vehicles to your Sun Pass Account in Florida so you can use one transponder for all your vehicles. You want greedy ? try New Jersey, Florida will at least suspend all tolls when there is an emergency, Hurricanes, Fires etc. I don't normally defend the Goverment, but will acknowledge when they do something right.

Were kinda forced into the I-Pass for our vehicles. What I mean is if you dont have one, you pay double the toll. Now is this common with other states?

There's a discount here in florida if you use the pass, but it's not required. One bonus is that they installed it at the airport, so you can breeze through if you've had to park to pick up a passenger.

I don't use EZ Tag here so I have no way of verifying, however I do work with transponders ALOT and have never had an issue with them working through even thick clothing. So you should be able to leave it in your jacket pocket with no issues. If it doesnt work you would simply need to show that you have one to get out of fines and if it does work than theres no hassle.

Tie Locks - I was unable to get to the hardware store, so I used tie locks around the transponder unit and around my mirror stem - it didn't fall off even on the bumpy streets of Boston. Still need to put on something more permanent..... Weather was too nice to spend it in stores this weekend!

Hey BikinIT,
I use EZ-Pass and I had them send me a license plate mount transponder setup to my motorcylce account. You may want to reconsider swapping a single transponder between your truck and bike, My bike transponder is set to a motorcycle account which means you're charged a motorcycle toll. (Cheaper) For example, cars to go over bridges here from Jersey are $3.00 bikes are only $2.00.
Now, putting a bike transponder in your car? hum?

Thanks no Petcock! But in Taxachussets its the same toll regardless (aka irregardless to some) Would be nice to get the cheaper toll in the car too. To boot, they put a gate in the fast lanes - said its for the safety of the collectors hmmmm..

Petcocks remind me of my old '77 Kawi 650B, always leaking in the garage...

When I got my transponder they suggested I keep it in my jacket inside pocket. So far I haven't been billed for a toll or had a fine for not paying. Appears the M doesnt trigger the toll. Prob me being bigger than the bike

Default transponder holder

I have been using this holder

JJ Cycle Pass Electronic Toll Pass Holder

It works great (i.e. all the time) and is not to detracting from the bike.
