Exclamation PCIII USB Install Manual

As many of you know I bought and installed a Power Commander III USB. In my other thread I also indicated that I created a step by step manual with color pics. Well here it is !!! I found a free file hosting site.

If you want to download it click on this : Installing a PCIII USB on an M50

It is a 5.3MB PDF file. Hope you enjoy it!

Great job. I wish I was as computer literate to do what you did.

Very well done. They should make it a sticky so it doesn't get lost in a few days.

Very, very cool. Much appreciated! I bet if you do a few more, you could compile them to publish as a small book.

Thanks for the nice comments! It was a pleasure to do and I know it will help since I was very dissatisfied with the instructions that come with the PCIII.

LJM9000, thanks for the addition to your post.

I have found a few spelling mistakes (mostly on the last page, it was 1am when I finished it) that I have corrected and will upload the new version.

Great Job!
One question I have: Does the bike still prime itself when you turn the key and kill switch on before you actually start it?

Yes. Don't forget, the PCIII is only a signal modifier. The original ECU still does all the work calculating and controlling. The PCIII intercepts the signals and modifies them according to the map you have installed. That is the beauty of the system.
