| Ever happen to you guys? Fire up Mah-Fiddy, get my helmet on, add my gloves, grab the clutch...and this god-awfull noise starts, and stops when I let off the clutch...??? WTF I say...turn off the bike, turn key back on, turn starter kill switch off, grab a handful of clutch....)($*&@#$%!) It does it again...about three more times before temporary retardation and blind rage wear off...and I realize that my started button has jammed, and everytime I hit the clutch it engages...DUH

| OK, now that is weird. Never happened to me. Looks like it is time for you to bring her in to the dealer for a control swap.

| ME ME ME ME, IT HAPPENED TO ME !!!!! I started the bike with my index finger instead of my thumb, when I pushed it in it kinda went in at a funny angle instead of straight. Everytime I pressed the clutch in it made that funny noise. I had a friend listen to it and found the problem right away, flicked the button with my thumb and bingo, gone. Never happened again. Someone else had that problem and I told them about mine and that fixed it for them too. I don't think it is the switch but the way it is depressed.

| Same here it happened to me once I'm a little more aware of this happening so I always make sure it's not stuck. because it is a terrible noise and at first I had no clue what was wrong. And thanks SMURF I learned of this by you. |

| Could be a simple fix. Just take the housing off, unhook the throttle cables. Unscrew all the screws and little electronics and REMEMBER were and how they went in. Possibly one the tabs is broken or cracked. Never one problem with mine. If that is not the problem, then it may have something to do with the starter cable recall. Though if you have no clue of what you are doing/ or lack of photographic memory, then it probably would not be a good idea to attempt it. yes, I agree, the control housings are cheap. The housings are made of pot metal (pewter) and flemsy assembly of the controls on the inside. Beware, if you take apart the left control to not loose the spring for the turn signal button and horn. You only have to worry about losing the turn signal spring if you let loose the button clip on the inside however. R |
