Default Custom M50 pics inside

What do you guys think, I am building it for my dad and I love it so far other than the headlight. But it is his bike and he likes it so that is all that matters huh.

Thanks for the nice words. The fenders started out as WCC fenders that Ihave since cut to my likings, and the bars are Volusia bars. If you look close we have done lots of little cool things (can you find the dummy lights). I know the headlight really doesn't fit, but like I said he likes it. I think it would look better with the stock light but unfortunately we do not have it. I still have to french the LED tailight into the rear fender, it is going to be tits. I will get pics along the way, it should be going to paint soon.

i like the mods a lot. i would like to see how you mounted the dummy lights where you did. also, where is the front caliper? is it just removed for paint or have you relocated it? i have the same headlight in black and like it as well. just depends on ones style i guess. anyway, i like what you've done with it. nice work... oh yeah, welcome to the forum

Seriously, keep up that great work...and keep posting pictures. Maybe if this will be good work in process, we can beg the admin gods for a sticky?

Were you able to keep the stock cables with the Volusia bars? That is one mod I've been wanting to do. Man, I thought about your bike half the night.
That there is gonna be awsome!!! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Hey guys let me see if I can answer all the questions here. I will take pics of the dummy lights and the tag mount maybe tonight. I made a custom stainless bolt/spacer to mount the tag bracket, and the dummy lights are held on with a slightly modified stock bracket that used to hold them on the dash. Hopefully this weekend I will get the tailight and the signals mounted, and the tank smoothed. The stock vol bars fit nice and the stock cables work. Only thing that doesn't work is I have the handlebar controls for the vol on it too, and the right side does not fit the throttle cables correctly. I will either have to order some stock M50 ones or think something else up. I still haven't decided on a paint scheme yet, throw your ideas at me, hell if anyone is a got photochopper let er rip. This has turned out to be a very fun budget build that is going to be hot for under $4000.

The Ness mirrors do look strong, but I have read complaints about the small viewing size and the difficulty with keeping them positioned, vibrations really affect these mirrors. The glass is also split down the middle, actually is two separate mirrors, to increase the viewing angle.
Since they are somewhat popular, might want to check out some bike nights and talk to someone that has them.

And I think they fit well with the Volusia Handlebar, not with a stock M50 handlebar...
