Well I got my Memphis Hell Cat and it’s great. I set it up few ways and have adjusted it several times trying to find that sweat spot and then I stuffed up!

I set it up so that it was close in and quite steep, pretty well in line with the forks, looked really nice. Went to bed and got up in the morning and road to work. Whilst parking I noticed that I didn’t get full lock, some thing was stopping the forks, at the same time I noticed that a cable touching the shield. “Id better adjust that tonight and that was the last I thought about it until I got home for another adjustment. It was then when I notice a HUGE gouge and scratch on my tank instrument cluster.

The arms had come in contact with my tank cover!

So yes I feel stupid but I thought it was worth warning others. When you adjust you windshield check your clearances! In the end I had to cut off about 25mm (1”) from the windshields arms to get it adjusted to where I wanted it. I’ve put a drop of araldite on the scratch to stop it getting worse and to prevent to “chrome” from peeling off.

Now does anyone know how much an idiot light cluster is or has one to sell. Please let me know, I hate having a scratch like this on the chrome and I want to fix it if possible.
