Question Is this M50 worth it?

Hi there, my name is Erick. New to the forums and will probably find a home here once I get the bike.

I am in the market for a M50. I am trying to find a good used one but am having some troubles (in demand!). If i cant get the used bike I will probably just go new.

I found this one on ebay: eBay Motors: Suzuki : Boulevard M50 (item 260006972565 end time Jul-17-06 11:33:20 PDT)

It looks like a good deal but the dent on the tank worries me. I would want to get it repaired or replaced. How much do you think something like that would cost? Is the deal worth it? Opinions?

It looks like someone just dropped it on that side and it landed on something. I had to get a new tank for my bike due to a wreck and it was 700+ But mine is a bigger bike.

I'd be currious to know what the reserve is.

I don't think I would go over 4k with the damage. You can normally get a used for around 5000.

The dent won't effect fuctionallity. Turn signal covers are cheap. And if you can live with it. It all depends what the reserve is. Whether it is worth it or not. There is 5 days left in the auction. The price could go way up.

And don't forget the fine print. $249.95 added for the "processing fee". Cost of driving to Tampa to get it. Cost of getting the tank fixed. You're probably going to have at least an additional $750-$1000 over what you buy it for. Reserve isn't met at $3550. I'm betting he's wanting no less that $4500 for it. But that's just a guess.

It's the second go around for that bike....it didn't hit reserve last time, and I think it was up to $4700 or so.

The dent may be able to be popped from the inside possibly. However, I agree with everyone else, if the reserve is too high, then you may be able to pick up one that isn't damaged for the same price and save yourself the headache.

A tank for the M50 is just under 700-(that includes tax).....BUT only if ya get the "salesmen's discount".

Hey, what's up with that ! Thought you loved your M ?

If it is for sale, I may have some advise for you, I Just sold that "spare" C50 that I bought a couple of months ago to a Kawi dealer for 5400 and it was basically an out of the crate bike. I stripped off all the bling and sold on E-bay (about 1000 bucks) only payed 5000 for bike so makes a total of 1400 profit . Never titled it to me so didn't have to pay the sales tax.

This is what Im replacing my "Spare" with, Still keeping my C50!
