| So here's to beating the dead horse! I constanly get e mails from the corbin postmaster and it says that the stinger and the rumble seats are made and ready to buy. the website doesn't have them on there and the guys in daytona aren't sure if they are available the question: does anyone out there actually have one? the request: please post pictures of them so i can see what they look like oh, and one more question: those of you who have Mustang seats how do they compare to corbin, or maybe better put how comfortable are they? thank you for your help on this one. p.s. i can only get about 30-45 minutes before the numb bum kicks in piece tyler |

| They are ready to sell now. My dealer called them and verified ordered me one on Tuesday. Unfortunately due to the season and everyone ordering seats right now they are backordered about 1 month. I got the Stinger, without ever seeing one. However, according to the guy at Corbin it looks like the one for the Harley Dynawide Glide. http://www.corbin.com/harley/dyna/hdfxd6stng.shtml I got mine with plain leather and no stitch pattern. I will try to post some pics once I get it. Corbin will not post pics on their website for the Rumble or Stinger until someone loans them a bike for photos. If you live near Hollister, Ca, and loan them your bike they will hook you up with a free seat of your choice. |

| Well, I'm going over to Daytona in the morning, and thought about stopping in...I guess there's no point, but at least if they don't have any in stock, I can bug them about it. I heard that they upped the price on the Stinger...mind me asking what you paid, M5'er? I really can't take a long ride on the stock seat either, even with plenty of "natural padding". I've heard great things about Mustang seats, but they flatly said they won't make any for the M50s. I still want to stay away from anything with gel, too, since this is Florida....already blazing hot out there and it's only the beginning of the summer.

| Awesome M5er! Of course, you know what your reponsibility is once it comes in I'd like to know if you sit any higher/lower. I would like a new seat as well, but I cannot sit any higher than I already am. My windshield is barely high enough for me as it is. |

| wow, that is pricey....but their solo seat prices for other models don't seem much cheaper. I think before I commit to Corbin, which obviously needs some decent customer service managers, I'm going to contact Diamond Seats...they're about an hour away, and I've seen some reviews of them. Still up there in price I think, but I'd rather give a small company my money if they have better business practices.

| Merlot, funny you should say that, I was thinking that too about the pics and getting a final fit. I called a few weeks back and begged them to sell me one sight unseen, after their R&D guy asked to borrow my bike, and they said they couldn't do it yet. But after I got the Corbin Times Home Edition a couple weeks later saying they were selling it, they took my order. I am a bit concerned about the final fit since they don't have a M50 to line it up with, but I figure they have made enough seats and can use the Dual Tour pan to at least line it up well enough to make sure it fits. I was also thinking that you might get your seats any time since they are now selling them. Since you have not yet, that makes me wonder if your theory is correct. I do know that every year they say there is a long wait for seats in spring and summer so I am not to surprised about the backorder, but I serously hope they are not taking orders if they are going to hold the seat until they find a bike for pics. I had my dealer buddy make absolutely sure they were serious about selling them when they called and they double checked, so I am going to think positive thoughts and hope it shows up in Mid-Late July. | Petcop, no kidding on the price. I had saved up for the $299 price and was ready to go, then about a week before they said they would sell the Stinger I noticed they raised all of their seat prices in the name of a necessary adjustment due to costs, etc. Now it costs $449, OUCH. That is one serious adjustment. In honesty, $299 seemed on the cheap side for a nice seat you can customer tailor to your request, but raising the price 50% in one shot is nuts too.

| M5'er, if you get the seat, you are going to need to post pics on it. I'd love to see it. As far as holding out hope, the hope is gone. Just chalk it up to another of life's lessons.

| Okay, my mind is made up....NO CORBIN FOR ME...even if they wanted to give me a seat! I went over to the Daytona store today to look around (even though I figured they wouldn't have anything in stock)...Somewhere on here I had posted that when I went to the store during Bike Week, NO ONE would make eye contact or offer to help me...well okay, the store was busy, I let it go figuring they were swamped, whatever..... Today we walked in, one of the same salesguys was standing right inside the door, and didn't say a word until I said hello first...then he grunted at me. We went around the store, stayed about 15-20 minutes, while I looked at all the various seats they had on display...You have to flip the seats over to see what bikes they fit (yeah someone at Corbin needs serious sales training), so I was doing that with a bunch of different seats. WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE....and not once did either salesguy talk to us, offer to help, acknowledge that we were there, NOTHING! We were even talking back and forth about the different model seats, at least showing we knew which seat was which, etc...and nothing...the two clerks were not 10 feet away and simply kept talking to each other instead of us...Finally my friend said loudly as we were leaving "Guess they're not interested in actually selling the seats here"....So forget it....there's no way now I'll sink my money into that company. I don't care if I end up spending twice as much on a custom seat! On a lighter note, we went up to the Ormond Harley, and what did we see parked right by the front door? An M109....lovely....lots of people were checking it out too, me included...though I'd want the 2007 which I believe they're offering in red, which as we all know, is the fastest color. Okay I'm off to email Corbin and tell them exactly why they have lost a customer.... Last edited by Petcop; 06-17-2006 at 11:40 PM. |

| Sure will....I haven't had luck getting them to respond to emails before, so I'm assuming I won't hear back from them. Honestly I don't know if they just have terrible customer service, and hire guys that can't fathom women riders, or what....but I swear we were invisible to them today. It's the same treatment we've always noticed at Harley dealerships, but actually the people at the Ormond Harley were pretty nice...that's a huge, very cool dealership/store, even if we didn't want to buy anything. Gotta hand it to Harley for having everything imaginable related to their products.

| Alright I know i said this in a previous thread but... now i'm just totally frustrated and i'm with petcop on this, NO CORBIN FOR ME EITHER. Every time i go into the Daytona store the guys there are the worst service/ sales guys i've come across. i've had the same treatment time and time again. i really fell in love with corbin seats before i got my first bike. and it's just a shame (i firmly believe this) that NO ONE CARES on their staff to reach out and help or even talk to customers. it's as if they don't want to make any money. i was totally sold on Corbin products and would have remained a loyal customer, but i can't stand to do business with a company that does not want my business. the real deal seal was that i found the dual tour to be a bit high in price at $469. but i felt is was worth it. now due to "oil prices" the new price is $700. not to mention that i'd need a backrest of some sort... adding at least another 250. so total it's now $900 - $1,000. that's not really looking so hot to me anymore. especially since the service s%$ks. So &@$# them. onto something else... seriously, how do the mustang seats hold up. any feedback on mustang, saddleman, or any others would be great. thanks for putting up with the rant. piece, tyler Last edited by tyler durden; 06-18-2006 at 09:54 AM. |

| I've checked many moons ago and noticed posts since then that mustang has NO intention of making a seat for the M50 what so ever EVER! No to corbin either....if they "another" pic of the m50/seat, they can have one of my bare back side! I've been thinking there nothing more than a Harley caterer anyway. Ya might check with dennis kirk about the saddleman or the company themselves, I thought there was mention of them coming out mid-June?

| Tyler, don't know where in the area you are, but www.diamondseats.com is in Seville (uppermost western corner of Volusia County). They've been in business for 30 years, but I don't personally know anyone with a seat from them. I thought I'd give them a call this week, and see what they can possibly do. Sargent Cycle in Jacksonville might be a possibility too...they make seats mostly for sportbikes, but maybe we could convince them to branch out?

| JPW......Dang it! I can't find the thread...but isn't meancycles the same place a few months back that had a taillight assembly for sale on ebay that went on to state being for the "M50" but in fact would ONLY fit the maurader??? EDIT......NEVERMIND, I found the thread..it was NOT meancycles for what I was thinking, but someone else and the item has since been removed from ebay by the company selling it.
