Apparently, I lucked out and picked up the Corbin dual tour saddle just before the recent 50% price hike. I've put about 300 miles on it so far and have been extremely pleased with the quality and comfort. It was a no-brainer to replace the OEM saddle; that was the limiting factor for me when riding over 3 hours. The night I returned home from a 7 hour ride I didn't hesitate a moment to buy the Corbin, but at the new prices I probably would look for at another option first.

I was kinda liking the idea of getting the rumble, but honestly since I travel so much I dont' think my tail bag would fit properly over that seat. Then their price hike made my choice for me.

Unlike alot of their customers, I spent all that extra bling money on GAS!!!!!

But I bought a spare seat for less than $50 (both) so now I have the pans to experiment with.

Basically, the material they are using to cushion with a butt buffer is the same as we use for wheelchairs. This link shows the T-Gel. Take the cushion out of the cover, remove the staples from your saddle, use a carving knife and sanding disk on your drill to remove some foam from your saddle, place the T-Gel cushion in, cut to shape, replace your upholstery and re-staple. Custom seat modification for ~$100. It really is pretty easy to do, especially since I have seen it done now.

If you're unsure, get it, ride on over to my house and I'll install it for free. Or bring it to the "Outlaw Blue Ridge Run".

Man i'm so torn...

Although I've been through the service issues with corbin, I need/want a better seat. I talked to this guy Chuck who talked to Mike himself (or so he said) and he will get me the Dual Tour for $450 (vs. the new $700 price)

that's still a bit for a seat but not that far off from a saddlemen or mustang (i they ever made one)

here's the question.

those of you who have a dual tour,

Is it worth it? does it really feel a lot better? does it ruin the look of the bike? are you happy with it?

basically i'm trying to find out if i should get one

thanks for the help

Hey Tyler, I might have an alternative....went to Deland motorsports today and talked to the salesmen about Diamond Seats in Seville...they didn't know much about them, but mentioned that another salesguy used a man right in Deltona to rebuild two of his seats...highly recommended him. He's on vacation until Tuesday, so I'm going to try going over on Wednesday to take care of the recall notice and get the man's name. I really love the Stinger, but so far Don from the Daytona store has offered nothing as far as a discount, free installation, etc....all he did is order me a seat...so I'm still not happy with the idea of spending all that money. I'll let you know when I get the guy's name.
