Default Clutch lever for small hands for M50 - help

Ok... been a while since I've been on here.... been a whirlwind of events in the last 4 months ending up w/ me on a FZ1.

My wife now is riding the M50. I also ride the bike (commuter bike, as I had always planned). I have the ISO grips on it, but my wife is pretty short (5'3" w/ small hands - men's small gloves w/ plenty of room in finger tips).

She is having trouble reaching the clutch lever. With the brake lever on 5, she has no trouble.

I don't want to get rid of the grips and go back to the OEM's, so I need a solution.

Is there an adjustable reach clutch lever out there?

Is there a short reach lever?

Thanks,

EP

There are levers that are curved in more, but to match, you loose the adjustable brake. The maker of your grips also makes levers, check their site.

Default Kuryakyn Wide Style Levers

I sent a request to Kuryakyn since the grips were Kuryakyn about what would decrease my wife's reach.

They replied that this lever:
http://www.metricthunder.com/Merchan...Category_Code=

will have less reach and will fit.

I have an '05 M50, and it says through '04 - - will it work? For those of you that have changed to these levers, do they decrease the reach?

Thanks for the help.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the clutch levers deviated from other suzuki cruisers. It will probably work. But again, I'm not 100% sure...so it's kind of a wonder why I'm even posting. lol

They look the same as in this thread. They say on their site it fits.

EP,
The Kuryakyn 7425 levers will fit on the M50, as I have them on my bike. However, they differ a bit from the picture in that they are more rounded than what the picture appears- there is no distinct ridge down the center of the blade. Also, the brake lever is NON-Adjustable on these levers...as they sit on my bike, it seems that the brake side equated to the factory '3' setting. I don't really know if they reduce reach, other than with more surface area to grab on to (there is more metal to grab, so her fingertips might catch them a bit better than the thin factory blades). I've posted a few pics of my setup (7425 levers with ISO Grips), though nothing from a "over the top" kind of view...but it's an idea.

Default My hands don't reach the clutch!

Ok, my first post, and found this thread. I decided on an M50 - have to have it lowered 2 inches first, but then figured out I can't reach the clutch lever with my little hands - (womens XS). I have been reading about the Kuryakyn levers, but from what I read, they really do not shorten the reach, are just fatter. Any suggestions, or anyone know of a clutch lever that is more curved? If I can't find something that will work, I will have to rethink the M50 purchase. (planning to buy on Sat) - just finished my motorcycle class today with flying colors!

Thank you!

I also bought the Kury levers and they do not shorten the grip. They do have more surface area to grab.
