Default Checking coolant level....

Do you need to remove that panel on the left side to check the coolant level window?

Seems silly to me....

Should I check it hot or cold?

Thanks!

yeah remove the cover, the bolt in the middle on the right is phony...its 2 on the bottom and one at the top left.(as you are looking at the cover)...i think it says on the bottle where it should be when its hot or cold

Thanks koda!

I also loved the completely pointless sarcastic post designed to degrade me, rather than help. But, some people get off on that I guess...

It just seems silly to me that the bike has 2 fluids.... and checking one of them is easy and in plain sight all the time. Oil I can check in 3 seconds, why would they hide the other one?

There is a window to check it through but I can never seem to find it, (too low and too dark )! I just take off the cover.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

And the great advice. I will check it tomorrow when light is more plentiful.

I assume you hold the bike level (like oil) when checking the coolant level?

Thanks!

I just had an adventure of sorts with coolant on my C50. The advice from the mechanic was to fill the tank to the lower mark when the engine is cold. After thorough warm up, it should approach the top mark. Add some to make it go to the top mark if you prefer.
