Default M50 impression left on a Honda Shadow rider

My friend had been pondering which bike to buy over the last three weeks. I told him repeatedly to come over and take the bright red M50 (fastest model you know) for a ride. Well, tonight, the day he picked up his new (new to him, his is an 03) Honda Shadow 750, he decides to ride my M50. He comes back and looks like he just lost his best friend. He was simply blown away at how much nicer my bike rode than his. He liked the handling, the power and the overall feel of the bike so much, that all he could say was "I should have waited." I told him he would be fine with his new bike, but he seemed dissapointed that he had taken mine out first. He paid a decent price for his bike, but said he would have gladly paid more for mine.

Anyway, not to point out the obvious, but these M50 (the red ones especially) are simply awesome bikes. Not huge on power, but ahead of the class in every other sense of the word. If you can, get out tomorrow and ride. if not, wax thebike for the next ride.

Ohh, I totally agree on the red ones, obviously the fastest, (duh, red is the fastest color) and the best built.

As for your friend, sucks to be him, bet he feels about like all those guys that rush down to the dealership and throw their money away on a harley (yes, I have something against those over priced under-built pieces). but as I said

SUCKS TO BE HIM...... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha M50s rule!

my buddies at work have harleys and a big dog and i think that is the exact reason they refuse to ride my M.

It was a ride on my buddy's 750 Spirit that led me to buying my M50. I had never rode a cruiser. I had spent many 7 years riding old dual sports, and 3 years riding an SV650. My buddy bought a '06 Honda Shadow 750 Spirit. At first I looked at the thing and wondered why in the world anybody would spend money on a cruiser, honestly that's what I thought. He told me I could take it for a ride, and I obliged. I figured it would rattle and clank and handle like a tank. I couldn't have been more wrong. It was awesome. In just a few short minutes of riding his bike I came to understand just how much I had been missing not riding a cruiser. The next day I started looking at all the available models from each manufacturer and narrowed it down to just a few I could afford. The M50 won, better styling, fuel injection, shaft drive, and more power; best of all I got it out the door for $6901. This bike has really reawakened the passion I used to have for riding back in my teens. Its so much fun, and damn comfortable, too.

Oh, and I let my buddy with the 750 Spirit ride my M50 after I got it, and he had a similar reaction as Brackneyc's friend. He seemed a little ashamed that he spent nearly the same money for an inferior bike.

I originaly wanted the Spirit 750. I still think it looks real nice but went with the M50 because of the shaft and fuel injection, and liquid cooling. I'm glad I did because I like the M50 more each time I ride it
