Default electrical short

Yesterday I was at a light and the bike just shut off. Naturally I tried to restart thinking I had just stalled it. Nothing. No computer, no display no lights nada. I talked to the dealer, they think it may be a warrenty issue, but I will have to bring it in first.

Anyon else had this problem. (oh ya the recall was done on my bike before I got it.) Any help appreciated!

dosn't sound like the recall thing from what i have read the issue with the wiring on the recall your bike would shut down but you display in the speedo would show CHECK and it just wouldn't run but it could be tied in with the same thing

Good luck !! Hope she is back up and running real soon !!

Me too! There is a ride here in Lubbock on Sunday, for motorcycle awareness month. We get a police escort and everything. The service manager said he would try to get his guys to look at it today so I can get it back soon. I've got my fingers crossed!

well they got the bike at 1pm yesterday, and called me again around 4 to get it. Then the service guy told me they tightened the battery terminals! That was the first thing I checked when it died in the first place, and they wanted to charge me $55!!! I told the head manager that was there at the time that I would not be returning. He asked what it would take to keep me. I told him cut it in half. Yes I was still being generious, but supposedly they checked other things as well to make sure that was the only problem. From now on I am going to be very particular as to who I deal with at the dealer here. The financial manager (one of the nicest guys I've met, well that doesn't work off of comission) , the service manager, and the manager. Oh ya and maybe the cute young lady that works in the parts dept. All in all these guysmay have stealer written all over them, but are willing to help out their customers. Sorry for the rant.

That sucks... I am sorry to hear that. There is nothing worse than getting stranded. Glad you got it fixed... but the stealer robbed you blind, and that sucks... a few claymores' would help
