Default Delivery time frame for your new bike?

Hello everyone, I have been browsing this site for a couple of weeks, tons of info. Great forum! My question is: How long did you have to wait for your dealler to get your bike? When I bought my M50 the sales rep said 2 weeks maybe 3. Well its been 31/2 and he still doesnt know when he is gonna get it(so probably another 2 weeks, at the earliest). I know I am extremely anxious, this being my first bike and all. Is this normal?

Also any other riders from the toronto region?

I got lucky, My friend works at the dealer and the minute he finished assembling the first blue one they got he called me. I drove down there and rode the bike home 2 hours later. It was the first time i ever walked into that dealer so all i had to wait for was the financing and paperwork.

Mine was on the floor also. Might want to check around if another shop near you has what you want and get your dealer to swap him or something.

2 weeks to wait? Baaah, that's nothing.

I put a down payment last October and didn't get my bike until April.
It's worth the wait! but then again it's hard to be waiting when there's no snow on the ground.

You're going to Love it!

Well my friend bought hers from the floor, and they had a red one in the back (mine), so I bought that one...not really sight unseen, they showed me what the crates looked like...lol...and the dealer delivered them the next day. It's probably different down here because of the year-round riding, so lots of dealers with plenty of bikes in stock. I know it sucks waiting, but the bike will be worth it!

We got the V-Star about 3 weeks to the early side. They told us mid May, and we've had it almost two weeks! I'm not complaining. They showed us the sheet with delivery dates, so it is not their call! Early was cool!

Dealer finally called last night(Thursday) asked if I wanted to pick my bike up this Saturday.(didnt have to ask me twice) So after running around to get the money, I am all set. Hurry up 1pm Saturday. Anyone have any problems when they picked up there bike?

Wouldn't be surprised if gas did go up to $5 a litre. Maybe the Banks will offer cheap interest on a loan for a fill up.

I'm Lov'n my M too. Ride lots and Ride Safe!

I spoke with my dealer about M50 availability and he said that he doesn’t know if he will be getting any more until late summer. He said that every dealer he knows is also trying to get more M50s.

Appears as if the M50 is fairly popular then....and yet we're still waiting for a selection of decent seats to buy?? Maybe I should send your quote to Corbin, Mustang, and Saddlemen, since none of them think the bike's worth making seats for, apparently....
