Default Mods and breakin

I'm wanting to put a hypercharger and some cobra streetrod slashdowns on my M50 (along with a Cobra Fi2000r), but I'm not through the breakin period. Will adding these now damage the engine as opposed to waiting till after the breakin?

Thanks

I was actually wondering the same kind of thing....if nothing else, waiting until after the break-in period will allow your wallet to prepare for the expense of pipes/intake/computer!

My buddy had the hyper charger installed on his Harley before he picked the bike up.

Not sure how much the actual fuel/air ratio makes a difference with basic mods. Break in is all about revving the engine, so I am sure as long as you keep the RPMs to the given range, it shouldn't matter. I see lots of people getting mods done before they even pick up their bikes anyway.

Now, ig you wre getting a super charger or turbo, that would be different.

Do they make a super charger for the M?

That about the engine revving is what I figured, but I didn't want to assume that and screw up my bike.

I know that within a month I'm going to order the hypercharger and cobra fi2000r, but I'm still undecided on exhausts. I have it narrowed down to cobra streetrod slashdowns or vh cruzers (leaning towards cruzers). I'm wanting some pipes that will increase performance, and was disappointed to find out that the cobras don't have a crossover. The only 2:1 that I like is the highway hawks mentioned in the post to xtreme dave, but I would like to keep both arms and legs Does anybody have any recommendations, which one will increase performance more?

OT: I'm trying to get my 3 month old to sleep with one arm and type with the other...this is taking forever to type

Thanks everybody for your help

This post should help with the "better performance" question.

BTW..just though I should mention that I meant get out and put those break in miles on her when I said "ride like hell"...not go 100 mph at bone bending angles through curves, sorry if it might have been taken wrong.

Anyway....hope the below helps.

All the mods you speak of are being added on new custom bikes at several shops with full warranty intact.

I just bought the hypercharger, Cobra Fi2000r and V&H Cruzers from xtremedave. It was very easy to order from him. I should have everything in a couple of weeks. Now it's like waiting for Christmas

Thanks everybody for your help
