Default Anyone do the swingarm thing yet?

Has anyone done the clutch-side swing arm removal yet?

If so, do you have pics?

I'll probably do mine this weekend and try it out on Sunday. I'm a little apprehensive about this. I know that in the volusia forums they said that there's no structural issue, but being an Engineer, i can't help but to think that it does provide structural support. If you do remove it, the drive shaft tube will take more stress. Is this stress going to fatigue the tube over time? Will a big impact (ie. a pothole) snap the tube?

All of these questions are probably moot if there's truth about the clutch side swingarm being made from plastic on the older volusias. Does anybody know about this as well?

For those who haven't seen the link... here it is:
