Default Driver's Backrest

What do you guys think about this backrest? I was thinking it might make the seat bearable until someone puts out a decent one.

Why don't you try and post again. I would be interested in what you found. I for one am anxious for someone to develop both a good aftermarket seat and a drivers backrest. Corbin indicates that they are close. Thanks.

That's weird. It was there when I posted it. Anyways, here it is. I am thinking about ordering one. Once installed, they say it just takes 5 seconds to take it off or put it back on.

I saw that on ebay for 85$, it would be nice to have some lower back support and that is a blinged bike

That is where I first saw it. You can order direct from him for $85, shipping included.

FYI Lonnie has been on the VolusiaRiders site for quite a while now, several people have bought from him and love the backrests he makes for the VL800

Sorry. That's not mine. That picture came from the site where the backrests are for sale.

It may be the OEM short, but I am not sure.

im liking that backrest idea for long rides.

it might also really help to reposition the butt for that hard spot on the back of the seat.

Yup, the backrest in the second picture looks a lot more comfortable than the little red X would be.

Fixed the link for you.

Well, it looks like Corbin is still requesting a M50 for development.
http://www.corbin.com/free_gear.shtml

I wish they were located near me! I think I am going to go ahead and order this backrest. If I do, I am sure Corbin will come out with a seat just after I get it.

but for 85$ not a bad investment. it may be the perfect cheap solution....if not, then you get a new seat if it does come out and sell your backrest for 50 and only lose 35...not too bad at all.

as far as the sissybar.....look at his list of accessories, unless the gentleman's changed it since then, it's the mapam high sissybar.

I think a C50 would be a better choice of bike for all that bling.
