Default 10 min tune-up

There has been a lot of talk on here about disconecting the battery to recalabrate the fuel injection system, I have anouther idea you can try. Let the motor run for 10 min at idle, don't touch the throttle at all, just let her sit there and idle. I had a mechanic tell me this little tid bit,and it seemed to help my bike after I drilled out my pipes. When I first started up my motor after drilling my pipes, I had a whistle comming out of the air box every time I gave her some gas, after letting it sit for 10 min it was gone, and it hasen't come back. The mechanic said that the fuel injection system will eventuly adjust it's self with just normal riding, this just speeds things up. Keep in mind that there is only so far the stock system can adjust it's self, if you make to great of a change, like pipes, air-box, ect, you will still have to get an after market unit like a cobra or power comander.
This little M50 of mine (as you all know) is a great little bike, I'm comming off a bike that has 3 times the power (Triumph Rocket 111) and I find that I am having more fun riding the M50 than I ever did on the Rocket. That Rocket was great for the ego, what with everyone drooling over the motor and all, but when it comes to just having a great afternoon of riding, I'll take the M50.

thanks rickster....that might help to clear up all the talk about "just unplug the battery" a little.
