Default Magnetic Tank Bag

Yesterday I purchased the Cortech Supermini Magnetic Tank Bag by Tour Master. I had the chance to see a few on my bike and chose this one for it's smaller and sportier appearance. Please note in the attached pics the orientation which I have it on the tank; it fits nice and clean between the chrome tank bezel and the seat, thus the magnetic flaps actually work as tank protectors from your thighs. You can see that the clear top cover can store a map or in my case phone, and can be removed for less glare. Storage for pens, keys, remotes, wallets and larger items is plentiful for me. The bag also includes a rain cover, which tucks nicely away in the top part of the bag. And when parking the bike, just throw it over your shoulder with the included strap. I had the bike up to 95mph today (in a rural area) and the bag stayed put with absolutely no lifting or shifting. Price was about $50 at my dealer ... rating: worth it!

Finally, been going crazy looking for a bag that wouldn't cover my speedometer!!! Darn design for C50 having the speedometer there!!! I't's definitely a "must have" for me... Since I missed my exit going to big bear last weekend and decided just to head home coz I can't remember the directions I read from excite. That map holder will defintely make my weekend rides more accurate. Thanks for the post!!!

ROFL

Just take care where you put it, (the bag, not the piece)
metal parts could cling to it and ruin the paint.

I had a piece of ore clinging to mine, scratched up the tank pretty badly.
You cannot imagine hom many iron parts are lying around these days.

theres another thread about tank bags floating around somewhere. talked about the Manta (joe rocket) and some leather one. i liked the look of the manta over this larger one. it is seriously sporty looking.

edit: see the end of this thread for info on tank bags

I've got it temporarily cinched down to my back seat until I get some of the female side release buckles that match the ones that are on it. Anyway, that is exactly what my wife calls it - the "man purse".

LOL! I think he's right...

but still love that bag. I got the cheap motoboss one for 29.99 and it...works. If I get more spendy I'll opt for the cortech.

Scott, I knew that you wouldn't be able to resist getting a bag! We need to start thinking about a whole day trip now that you have somewhere to pack a lunch...

Trust me, it actually works better this way on this bike. The top part where the handle is can be opened without getting off the bike ... I had my gate remote in there for very easy access.

Hey, Sundude ... I'm actually one-up on ya! I also received my Sabergear thigh-pack today, !

Oh, and Pinhy: Yeah, the Manta was my first choice, but it looked to long on the tank and covered the bezel ... To me, it didn't look right; still a very nice bag though.

That barrel bag for the Tour Master is the exact one I just got. No sissy bar, so I have it strapped to the back seat. I don't travel enough to need all the extra storage of the set.

So when are you going to break down and buy some saddlebags?

Nice bag I might have to add this to my wish list also. I already have the tourmaster saddle bags, tool bag and med size duffel bag.

I have the same bag. I use the barrle bag daily. I have a short sissy bar (frd) (hrd for Sunny) and I felt like it wasn't as secure is I would like so I built a wooden shelf to put on top of the rack. The shelf is secured to the rack with zip ties (only use it when I take the bag) and I use the velcro strips that hold the neoprine pad on the bottom to secure the bag to the shelf. Now it doesn't move around at all. Wife loves it' she can lean against it and take a nap. I also have the largest saddle bags Tour Master makes that are the same design. They are very durable and look good too. Oh my rain suit is also from Tour Master.
