Default Heater Gear

I had been giving serious consideration to some Gerbing Heated gear. I decided recently, though, to just go with some Thinsulated gear to block wind, since I'm in Texas and cold weather doesn't last all that long. I buy some stuff from MOTOLIBERTY. They're located in Dallas, but do good online sales as well.

I stopped by the store and noticed they now have heated gear from TOUR MASTER: https://www.motoliberty.com/list_pro...11&SubCatID=29

These guys do great business, and the Tour Master stuff is considerably more affordable than Gerbing. Just a little heads-up for the money-conscious rider

My wife and I got each other the TourMaster Synergy Heated gloves for Christmas. We've had a couple mornings with temps in the low 30s and the gloves have been terrific.

I read the webbikeworld review of them and it was less than flattering. They said the gloves barely got warm and made their hands sweat. Is this true?

I would love to pick up a pair of these, but want to make sure they'll do the job first. I ride down into the teens if conditions permit.

Thanks,
Sandman

Yeah, I read that review also and almost didn't buy the TourMasters because of it. But I did a bit more research and found some posts on other forums that were very favorable. I found enough favorable reviews/posts to outweigh the negative one on WebBikeWorld. And for the price that includes everything you need (wiring, controller) as opposed to the Widders and Gehrbings I figured it was a gamble I was willing to take on the TourMasters. I have been very satisfied. My hands have not even noticed the temps into the mid-30s. Here in Atlanta it hasn't gotten into the teens since I got the gloves so I can't comment from direct experience on how effective they'd be at that temp, but I intend to use them if it gets that cold here (provided there's no ice).

Thanks for the reply, I'll be picking up a pair of these shortly. I pretty much am the poster boy for TourMaster as I wear their Jacket, pants, gloves, and am very satisfied with their products. 2 years of almost daily wear and they are still almost like new.

I'm a big TourMaster fan also, jacket, gloves, rain gear. I'm looking at the TourMaster Cruiser II saddlebags next and eventually more of their Synergy gear, probably the jacket liner.
