hey folks... I'm looking for some advice for an upcoming trip i'm planning... i'll be packing up my suzuki boulevard M50 and heading east from here and visiting 3 of the 4 atlantic provinces in the last 2 weeks of june... the longest trip i've taken is 1000km (nonstop) in less than 24 hours and that totally killed me (not mentally, but physically) since then i have 2 sets of riding lights, a windshield, better seat, a gps etc... i think comfort i should be ok... i have 14 days to go tour around and be back home (stupid work) i'll be going solo, and i don't really want to plan all my stops (i'll be bringing a tent and sleeping bag) my trip will be between 5000 and 6000kms (3000 to 3800 miles) besides extra fuel just in case... anything i should watch out for? tires are fairly new, and i'll be doing an oil change a little while before the trip and other than that the bike is mechanically sound... is 400-500 Miles(600-800km) doable without being too burned out? i'll be bringing the obvious stuff (tools, extra bulbs, fuses, duct tape, zip ties) but i'm wondering if i'll be forgetting something that will cripple me along the way.. thanks in advance |
