Default Replaced the VStrom DL1000

Traded my 04 DL1000 on a 03 SV1000S with lower fairing. She is sweet. Wanted something build a little closer to the ground(I can flatfoot this one while sitting on the seat). 1000 miles so far and I love it. 412 miles on one ride so I know I will be able to tour on it. Wiil do a few mods to make touring a little more comfortable. This will be a very light and agile touring bike. Two major differences from the VStrom. The SV has a much smoother ride and the wind does not mess with the SV the way it did with the VStrom. Anyone else using and SV for a touring bike?

How about the riding position. Is the VSTROM is much more upright compared to the SV as I think it is?

Other comparison available here

Louis,
The riding position on the VStrom is definitely more upright. The SV is more of a sport position but not at all what I expected (uncomfortable). I plan on changing to Heli clipons on the SV to raise the controls about 2 inches which should make it perfect.
