| Anyone ever use one of these to carry extra fuel on long trips? How did it work out? How many bottles did you bring? Is it dangerous? These are Non-venting bottles since they are used under pressure for camping backpacking stoves. I figured if I got 40 mpg and had one 32 oz fuel bottle, that would extend my range by 10 miles...big deal....I would think carrying 4 (one gallon) would make more sense. thanks dan |

| Some body was asking about these a while back. My Goldwing friend carries 3 of them w/ him all the time. I have used them for long off road races. They work well. They are designed to handle pressure, so no worry about one exploding. Well, unless you toss it in a fire. As far as carrying one, 10 miles is great unless the next gas station is 11 miles away.

| I carry two in my HT panniers on longer trips (more than 300 miles). Gives me an extra 20-25 miles "if required".
