| Forensic Bug Splatter Analyst. ![]() | Is there anyone out there in LA or California for that matter interested in getting together for some longish day rides? Say 4 or 5 hundred miles. Through the southern /central Sierras? Or am I the only one crazy enough to be doing these kind of rides on a sportbike? Not often do I find other folks wanting to be in the saddle that long especially in the twisty stuff. It's fun and you sure get some awesome scenery in one day. Any volunteers?

| Dale, Do you check this site - http://www.socalsvriders.org should be some willing riding partners there. I'm sure there is also a Gsxr site in SoCal. They seem to have more regional sites then any other area.

| Forensic Bug Splatter Analyst. ![]() | I've checked local sites and ridien with a few of them. Most riders in the LA area seem to enjoy sleeping in, ride to a local meet site and kick tires, then ride 50 or a 100 miles and go home. Not to many riders wanting to get moving before dawn and crank out 400 to 500 miles and still be home in time for dinner! Although there are a couple of us who do manage it, but mostly it ends up a solo ride, but that's good in its own way.

| Dale, Have you checked sport-touring.net region 2. The riders on ST.N central like to get out and ride. They just had a central region meet in SW Wisconsin and about 35-40 sport & sport touring bikes showed up. Region 2 is the Southwest and may be a good source. I have exactly the same problem as you locally. No one wants to get out and ride. Most are semi-posers. Ride around town and go home and park the bike in the driveway. I had 5600 miles on my VStrom before I traded it - 90% solo. Have 1000 on the SV now 85% solo. I broke down and bought a cell phone (tracfone) because I'm on the road by myself so much(always said I would never have one) and figured it would be wise for emergency/breakdown.
