Default Bags

Just wondering, what type of bags do you have, (for your bike) if any?

Right now, I don't have any. Just a backpack. I don't really want to spend too much on accessorizing the bike I have right now because I"m not sure how long I'll keep it.

I bought 3 Givi E36's for the V-Strom. All alike - Figure if I ever drop the bike and ruin one I'll still have 2 matching ones. Also have a RevPack Jr tankbag and a Nelson-Rigg tailpack for short trips. Think I'm set in the luggage department.

So bat4255, have you doubled your standard carrying capacity with a big trunk yet? I've wanted to (yeah, it's a guy thing), but so far, I haven't even completely filled the under-seat unit.

Haven't really needed to.
I have been looking into soft saddlebags, for the ocassional road trip 2-3 times a year.

I recently bought a set of GIVI T411 Saddle bags. They worked well for the ocassional multi day trip, and are easy removable for everyday riding. They are low cost and the center of gravity is kept low so handeling is still good. Full loaded, 2 up I calculated we were about 1,000 lbs, Maxed out. Mileage was still good only about 42 mpg expressway running @ 80 mph for 100 miles, to 50 mpg touring @ 60 -70 indicated. Mileage does suffer at sustained high speed. My wife said her legs were resting a bit on the softer bags, but was more comfortable.

Yea, Black is available, but Yellow all they had in stock that fit, and I got them for $100 bucks, but I'm getting used to it. They are very visible for touring in the rain (they match my rain pants), and they dbl. as cary on luggage when flying.

Anyone know if the color can be changed?

Found this bag in the August addition of Sport Rider. Has anyone used it or anything similar in design? Pros? Cons?
