Default MP cycle windshield

My new V Strom windshield from MP Cycle design is on the way. I found Paul very easy to deal with, he actually offered to ship my order just on my word that I would be putting the check in the mail the next day, and if that wasn't enough, he decided to send me 2 shields, because we couldn't be sure which one would work best for me. I call that excellent service.

I'll post a report as soon as I get a chance to try it out.

Along with a small group of San Diego Area Strommaniacs I did some testing for Paul and Devin a while back. . . .I really like his product. I'd used a WindStrom Manta for more than a year when I did the testing and was perfectly happy with the results.

For what it worth, I'm 6' 2 1/2" tall with a 36" inseam and the MP screen works as well, if not better than my Manta (and it looks "better" imho).

I think you're gonna like it.

Well I got a chance to put a few miles on with the new windshield, and it's better than anything else I've tried , but still not what I was hoping for.

What has helped the most is the lowers I put on. I had bought a set of lowers for my M50 from Memphis Shades, and I didn't like the way they looked on the "M", so as I was taking them off, I thought, why not try and fit them on the V Strom. Well they fit right on, and made a huge difference in the wind buffeting. I still get some wind hitting my helmet, but now it's not a sharp slap, it's more like a gentle push.

I do sometimes ride without a helmet ( I know, I know, don't say it), and there is no wind what so ever in my face. It all seem to be coming around from behind.

The only thing that eliminates the buffeting completely, is taking the windshield off all-together, but this is a close second.

How bad did they look on the M50 and did you have to move the signals? Most of all did they work?
