| What's the advantage of a center stand over the factory side stand on the V-Strom? Is one more stable than the other when the bike is parked in the garage, my concern is kids running around the bike and some may even be inquisitve to climb on when no one watches. Thanks for your response(s) in advance.

btw I was kidding about the bike being stable when it isn't moving as I suspect the center stand doesn't really help stability when you are riding.

| I had just under 16,000 miles on my first V Strom (03 DL 1000) when I sold it. I took care of my chain about the same way as "C2W?" describes above. I only had to adjust it twice, and it still looked like new. Rear tire was shot, front had a few thousant left in it.

| When the bike is up on it's center stand during fueling, you can get a little more fuel into the tank - depending on how the tank is shaped, of course.
