ok i know this is lame hi i'm mark btw. I've read the crap out this forum an it seems like every person that has a problem with there bike asks the questions gets the answers fixes there bike an never really specify what the problem actually was and what they did to finally rectify the situation. An heres me My stupid bike won't start.......... kinda. this bike has been sitting for over a year i bought for my woman bout two years ago. long story short she dropped it in the yard a few times broke her toe on it then she got prego so needless to say she hasn't rode so every couple mths i start the bastad up just to blow that crap out of her its 93 zuki katana btw. I really don't ride it bc i got my own sv650s that rules. so one time i went to start katana an it would not start so i tried until all i heard was click click clik....... blah i knew i had a problem. i charged bat same thing, figured it was selonoid, replaced selonoid with same problem click. new battery fully charged now she turns like a champ still won't start so its either air, spark, gas removed air filter check, replaced spark plugs an tested to make sure the pulse is reaching plug, check soo... now where down to gas an heres where my problem lies. I know when i turn it to prime gas dumps out the pitcock. an now i have tank off an im thinkin that i don't know which tubes to to which connection. that's problem one but i did hook up tank to fuel lines an put it in prime which should ultimatly feed carbs gas. put in a lil starter fluid an yes bike starts an stalls........... did this 3 times tryin to get the gas to sustain the bike because i figure its empty an needs a few to fill up bowles......... with no luck so i think i have it narrowed down to either A. have vac lines hooked up wrong or B. floats are stuck closed. but as far as the vac lines i have 2 coming off of carbs an i have 2 other lines that are of course drain lines but heres the tricky part theres only 3 connections on tank 2 are drains an the third on pitcock is the vac (least im almost positive) But the two lines coming off the carbs are both 2 big to connect to the pitcock vac connection........... an i've looked at diagrams an can't make heads or tails of it any help would be greatly appreciated if i can get the vac line situation takin care of then i can deffinely narrow it down to the carbs bc i don't want to rip into that if its not the issue but it almost seems like this is where its goin |
