Default Replacing cam caps?

I put a new cam cover gasket on my Kat. Ran the bike for a few minute and noticed oil running out of the front of the cover. I went to tighten the top bolt and "snap". Not only did it break the cam cap where the bolt threads in but the pieces fell into the motor.

Before I get any grief, I undertand how bad this is. My questions is: how bad could it be to take cam caps off of a different head? Ive already gotten the lecture from the dealership guys about how they are machined for the specific head, but if I mic the cam and the tolerance is the same, I dont undertand why it wouldnt work. I found a new head on E bay for $100 so If I can get away with just swapping cam cap that Is what I'll do. This way I can replaced my other caps that are half way stripped as well. I can replace the whole head if I have to, but that is my last option.

Any opinions?
