My brother and I rode to Ocean City Maryland for the annual Bike week. Needless to say we were surrounded by Harleys. In fact that's all we saw. The constant revving of the engines are actually getting on my nerves. I was difficult to talk to one another because of the noise. Everyone was nice even though we had Metric bikes, mine, a perfect 1992 750 Nighthawk and my brothers poor mans Harley, a V-Star 650 Yamaha. We rode for about 200 miles round trip. Had a 12 - 15 mph head wind on the way down, but also had it as a tail wind on the way back. I averaged 53 mpg on the 750 and my brother got 59 mpg on his 650 V-Star!! We kept our speed around 50 - 55 mph. Didn't have any problems, both bikes ran perfect and like I mentioned, everyone was super nice!!! It was a great trip, but I need to invest in the Vista Cruise Control, my wrist was killing me by the time I got back home. dan |
