| If this isn't the right section for it (I don't see why it wouldn't be, but just covering my ass here), then it's probably because I registered 5 min ago and therefore I'm stupid. I recently picked up this 1976 CB550F for a project this summer. It's my first bike and I've probably paid too much for it already (but I'm a kid, I hope that counts as an excuse). I plan to strip the frame, repaint the body panels in gloss black, powdercoat the frame satin silver, and polish the remaining bits. I'm hoping I can ask you all for advice from time to time, as I don't have much prior experience to restoration. I'm looking to use the bike almost daily as well. Some pics: ![]() After taking the fuel tank off from transporting it (there's a story behind that, but I'm slightly embarrassed to share it ![]() ![]() Thanks in advance. |
