The point is, you own one of the highest performance streetbikes on the planet. Why not just ride it? Why not just learn to ride it well?

What Rowdy is trying to say is ...

If you want more performance out of your CBR, then you are over-estimating your own skills. Unless you are Nicky Hayden, you aren't riding the CBR1000RR anywhere near the limits of what the bike is capable of doing.

You want more performance? Get out and take some track training. The pros out there will show you 1) what your bike is capable of doing, and 2) how little of that potential you are actually using.

I didnt hear him say anything about performance mods. You can mod the crap out of anything without changing the performance. Ease up a little guys. my 2 ˘

thanks jkersh. i am mostly doin cosmetic mods right now. performance will come later, probably power comand and loudest slip-on pipe out there, but thats diggin n da wallet. and i agree with most of what yall say, the bike has some power. so i do appreciate the reminder of not tryin to boost the performance yet. i would like to hear bout some cosmetic mods people r doin.
Ive changed headlights to a rainbow style light from eurodezigns, doin the integrated taillight, fender eliminator. tell me bout what yall got. thanks

Rowdy! how did you get out of your cage!

Hey I know a guy who has 10 LCD screens on his bike. Very entertaining when it's sitting still.

That's like saying that that Nicky Hayden can "kinda ride a motorcycle" or Pamela Anderson can "sort of suck a golf ball through a syringe needle."

Why not post up a picture of the machine in question? That way you can ask advice based on what it looks like. Not just generic cosmetic ideas. I mean you want pant work, body parts, carbon fiber parts, rear sets, carbon levers, anodized bits? Heck if you want to mod it start by taking off all the heavy crap and replace it with titanium if it isn't already. Trick it out with usable function rather than junk parts.
