Cool Interceptor Perfect With Only One Flaw

I bought my interceptor a year ago and had no problems since i read some reviews and saw that ppl couldnt stop loving there honda....the only problem with these bad boys is cam issues....cam issues almost defeat the purpose of buying the bike for the fact that they are almost perfect....are cam issues that bad??

You'll have to be more specific about what "cam issues" are. Not many Veefers on the forum yet. Pitting? Noise? Upgrades?

the cams on the zzr1200's have a tendency to pit! I think every bike out there regardless of quality has or will have at least one thing wrong with them. Just how it works I suppose.

Was that a question? It has question marks (two, in fact), but I can't make out a question.

I'll assume you're curious about replacing the camshafts. It's generally not that difficult on overhead-cam engines, but you'd probably want to take measurements of the associated journals, followers, and whatever other hardward contacts the camshaft to check for excessive wear. Buy a Clymer and read up.

Default VFR whoa's

the vfr series was known for cooking the cams in the aft cylinder set because they didnt cool as much as the front set.with an increased oil cooler or airflow they aint so bad but idlin in traffic after riding hard would cause em to pit , and or cook off as it was known as . I liked my brothers vfr but enjoyed my sabre more ..
