The Electra Glide Standard does not come with any of these things either. All use the same frame- the Street Glide has a lowered suspension.

I love all bikes. If I could afford it I would have one of each brand, and type. You can never have too many bikes.

I may some day have a Harley. I just haven't seen one that really trips my trigger.

Buy whatever makes you happy.
I think he was referring to people on this site, we have quite a few Harley bashers for members, but I can't recall any posts from members that are Harley owners that have bashed other brands.

I don't think so, Rickster.
Sounds to me like he is referring to "out there",
not on the MJ fourm. It's tough to correctly interpret an internet post
when the person's face can't be seen or their tone of voice be heard thru the keyboard; but I know Wild Willy; and can tell you he's the first guy who'll defend the oposeing side when someone (like me) says something stupid. (Like I did.)

I said I was outta line by saying what I did,
and corrected my post.
It'd be nice if we could let it go.

Sounds good to me Mike, I read the exchange between you & Bob, and I figured it was done with, anyway my jab really wasn't at you or Wild Willy, the Harley basher's on here know who they are, besides I wouldn't want to pi$$ you off after you were so nice with your offer to all of us to come and stay/ride with you, I get out your way on an average of once a year.

And no I'm not talking about you either Adam, your not a basher, just a pot stirrer, by the way did you tell ORBrit your gay or something, I see he's trying to hook you up with his brother-in-law over on the gun thread., and don't try and get me started on tire size, J.D.'s tire might have been bigger than mine, but I never got to see it, because he kept that Suzuki where it belonged,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, behind my Road King.

As I recall you got to ride Clints, and with the engine mods he did they are pretty close to equal in power now, besides his bike should feel a lot more like what your used to because of the clip-on's he has, oh and you did after-all ask ORBrit about meeting any relatives, not just female ones. I'm just saying.

I did get to ride clints.. but its not all shiny and new! I would have just wanted to see yours. I wouldn't have ridden it. Takes me too long to get any comfort level with different bikes. Also for Orbrit. desperate times call for desperate measures sometimes...

Well I guess we hi-jacked this thread enough with our meaningless babble, I wonder what the OP has figured out with his dilemma on whet bike to get?

Sounds good. If you're in the cage, I have an extra bike.
If you're on the bike, I have an extra fishin' rod.

This'll be an odd summer for me. Looks like I'll be working out of town
two weeks on and two off all summer. Long hours, lots of overtime and double time on Sundays & whatever holidays I might work.

I'll be in your part of the country more than once this summer, too;
and hope to meet some of you people from that area.

Here's a short video I made this past summer of the area I live in.
The farm house is my folks' home. Great fishin'!

Just let us know when your comming, the last ride of the season last year included 5 members from the forum, Clint, Grampatracter (J.D.), tricker (Adam), Frostbitevinny (Vinny), and myself.

Nice video, I noticed the name Gibbon on the grave stone, I wonder if your any relation to a guy I work with named Nels Gibbon?

Another guy I work with is building a retirement home on Devils Lake, I've never been there, but he says the fishing is fantastic.

I have had both a Jap bike and now own a H-D. I loved my Jap bike and love my H-D just the same. It has NOTHING to do with a "life style" or name. It's the fact that the H-D Deluxe has caught my eye for several years just like my Kawasaki did when I first saw it. I also paid a lot less for it from one dealer than another was asking. Shop around. They are willing to wheel and deal right now.
I also looked at the Victory bikes when I was looking at the H-D and they can be just as expensive as H-D's. Anyway, different strokes for diiferent folks. And a lot more H-D riders are "excepting" of other riders choices in a bike than you think. I have had it from both sides so, you can't point the finger at just one group. Besides, I don't think ChuLaiDocFMF was looking for anything more than advice on what model of H-D to get.

I agree with most of what you said, but I do believe that the Harley image, or "life style" does factor in for most people when they decide to but a Harley.

This perspective may be just a tad enhanced for your particular benefit, by that I mean "your more than just a pretty face on this forum", your also a prety face in person.

ladies & gentlemen I have met Rae in person, and to say she is beautiful is a definite understatement her husband HammerPete is a very lucky man, so any guy riding any brand of bike is going to be friendly towards her just to get a chance to talk to her.

I have to agree with you about that. There are those what we in Cali call "hodads" that get the H-D for the image.
And, you are too kind!

Great now she is going to need a bigger helmet.

That would be cool, you could get her a couple of half-shell helmets & hook them together for her to wear as a bra,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that is what you meant by her needing a bigger helmet,,,,,,,,,,,,,right.
