Well since the purchase of Rae's Deluxe; I have been able to negotiate a few test rides. It seems the HD guys at the dealership have been trying to convert me from Victory to HD. Well I noticed the 09 Fat Bob was being used as a demo. An aggressive set of tires. It almost has a Fatboy look but in more of a power cruiser style. The dual head lights fit the bike well. The Ergnomics of the bike are very nice. The engine is a 96 ci. The tranny a 6 speed. Dual disc out front....which to me is a must. One equal size disc for the rear. The dual exhuast looks pretty decent also. The mid controls are ok but the bike can be ordered with a forward setup. This is also the CVO bike this year. So a 110 CI can also be ordered for a hefty price increase. AFA as performance. All around I was pleased. The bike acceralated smooth and quick despite the typical HD vibration. So you are definatley riding the bike. A set of pipes and this thing should sound GREAT! The only draw backs that I noticed were the brakes. IMOP if you have dual disc option then they should stop with authority. This bike had 0 miles on it so I heat cycled the brakes during my ride. Still I did not feel that confident with the brakes and definatley had to grab more brake on rather routine stops. I voiced my opinion on the brakes to the salesman. They agreeded that they needed a better check out. All around a very nice bike. |
