I had put 18500 miles on the C-50 in about 17 months. I do not miss the C50 at all but it was a good bike and I have some great memories riding it with the wife. That said it is not an EGC. It, the C 50, is way better then the VTX 1300 or the 1100 Star. There is a wieght difference on the HD and they are a really great handleing bike at slow speeds. But some people don't like the vibrations etc....The Heritage has the B range motor so it won't shake as much and any shaking is only at an idle.
